The Fall Classic

Congratulations to the Philadelphia Phillies! They’ve done it again… giving us a great season of exciting baseball and making it into the playoffs. At the time this is being written the NLCS is just under way. Propper Brothers wants to lend its support to the Philadelphia Phillies and thank them for a great season and much luck on the road to the World Series.

What a Race it was…

On September 6th Manayunk hosted its first Red Bull Soap Box Derby. One in a series of races held throughout the country the race was a huge success. Starting atop Lyceum Ave. and ending at Cresson St. at Propper Brothers Furniture, the fans were treated to a wacky group of daredevils riding at high speeds down the famous Manayunk Wall. The same Wall made famous by our International Bike Race. The steady rains didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of either the racers or its fans, and a great time was had by all!
